Pink salad

Updated: May 2, 2021

If you’re reading my blog, you’ve probably figured out that I go by the name Yvonne. This is my middle name and it was also the name of my great grandmother. I never knew her, but I have most certainly inherited her love of cooking.

So, I think it’s only right that I share one of my great grandma Yvonne’s recipes. The one my Nana suggested I share is called pink salad. This one is super simple and so delicious. You need 5 ingredients and 3 of them come in a can.

This is a salad, so it is good for you, and if you like cherry pie, but you’re dieting, this is a phenomenal substitute for sugary desserts, and if you fatten up your family with pies and cakes and ice cream, and save this healthy salad for yourself, you’ll look extra thin.

Hope you enjoy this delicious dessert.

Pink Salad

8 oz cool whip

1 can cherry pie filling

2 med cans crushed pineapple well drained

1 can of sweetened condensed milk

1.5 cups chopped pecan

Mix everything together and chill it in the fridge until ready to serve.
