My favorite singers

I have a very odd taste in music. I enjoy Indie R&B, Indie Rock, Modern Indie pop, and some Canadian Stoner Rock. I've made a weird habit of listening to artists who only go by one name. Some examples are Croosh, Lund, Yeek, Flowerboy, Healy, and recently Yuck- yeek and yuck, funny right? It wasn't intentional, It's just how it happened, and I am okay with it. Most people have never heard of my favorite artists, so I decided to compile a list of my favorite artists so that hopefully people with a similar taste in music as me will recognize who I am talking about. Here are my 8 favorite Indie artists.

  1. Yeek- I love this dude, his music makes me feel I'm in the park with friends in the middle of the night. I suggest listening to his songs "Cleaner Air" or "Old Car" they are both phenomenal.

  2. D. Munoz- This man deserves so much more love than he gets. His voice is so unique and the sound of his music will either make you want to dance or cry. I highly recommend "Until Next Time" and "Drink"

  3. Hobo Johnson- A lot of people my age know this guy from his tiny desk concert in which he performed his most popular song, "Peach Scone". But his album "The Fall of Hobo Johnson" is worlds better than the one song. I have no hate for "Peach Scone" because it is amazing, but "Subaru Crosstrek XV" and "Sorry, My Dear" and "You & the Cockroach" vary wildly from seemingly manic rage to the depths of depression, and satire commenting on nuclear warfare. He's a very complex guy, and this album shows off different aspects of his personality.

  4. Peach Pit- This is currently my favorite band. Their music is so simple and nice, and unlike a lot of musicians in any genre, this band is so un-problematic. It's very refreshing. Their music is great to just jam out to on a long car ride. I really like the song "Seventeen" and "Alrighty Aphrodite"

  5. Samsa- This dude has a very distinct sound; it's simple and fun to hear. I really like to listen to it when I just need a pick me up or I want something to sing along with. "Butterflies" is definitely one of his best songs.

  6. Croosh-This artist isn't quite Indie, but he is definitely alternative. His music is very similar to some more mainstream artists like blackbear but more consistent with the quality, and dare I say- better. I genuinely wish that he was more mainstream, instead of being so underground, and I highly recommend his song "Blue Skies, White Lies" and "Misfit"

  7. bbno$- bbno$ has a few more popular songs, but the further back you go with his music, the better it will be. In my opinion, his best song would have to be "Who dat Boi" or "Bunk." I love both of them so much, and if you just want to vibe out in your room, those are great songs to listen to.

  8. LoveLeo- I love this man and his music. When I first started listening to him, he had only four songs, and now, he has 15 I believe- maybe more. He is working so hard to break into the industry, and I so hope that he becomes a big-name artist.

Anyways, if you have any suggestions for me to listen to, I definitely will, just leave a name and song title in the comments. And, let me know if you listen to any of my favorites.
